Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 5:26AM How does the beer of adventurers and journeymen celebrate its own passage to beer taps all across America? By embarking on an epic west coast road trip in search of adventures.
Along the way, with the help of some very talented artists, those adventures will be used as inspiration to create five special kegs. Using paint, etching and maybe even welding, we’ll turn five ordinary Pacifico kegs into beautiful works of art. One for Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle, each one as homage to the amazing city we’re delivering it to.
Follow the team's daily adventures in the RV at the Adventures on Tap blog, and be sure to post your recommendations for their next stop on the Pacifico Clara Facebook page!

Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 4:35AM For those who don’t know, D&AD is one of the most selective and prestigious award shows in the world. For Creature, it’s also been very elusive. Yesterday, this changed with the Pacifico website taking a very honorable spot on the short-list for the show.
See mvp.com on the D&AD shortlist here!
And the good news kept rolling in, as we also heard that 20 of our 24 local Addy wins brought home awards in the regional selection as well. Among those, Seattle's Best Coffee, City University of Seattle and Pacifico won a total of 6 Golds and will be moving on to the national round.
Congrats to all those involved, and let's keep 'em coming!

Monday, June 28, 2010 at 10:54AM One of the great things about working with an off-the-beaten path, adventurous brand like Pacifico is the ability to collaborate on unique ideas and turn them into reality. The most recent example of this is the new Pacifico website MexicoViaPacifico.com. It's a website without web pages. It's four hand-painted walls you can actually visit. It's a destination website. Check it out online, click around, and literally explore part of the world of Pacifico.
With this new site, we're taking visitors off-the-beaten path to places that are part of the Pacifico DNA:
A project like this is a little more complex than a standard website, as you might imagine.
Ody Boards is located in the La Punta area of Puerto Escondido, for example, where phone service is patchy at best and internet connections were non-existent before this project. The perfect place to set up a web cam and stream video 24 hours a day.
And we recently needed to make a content update to the homepage in Todos Santos as you can see above, which in the world of Pacifico means buying a couple cans of paint, hiring a Mexican street artist (some work for beer).
Projects like this, with all their inherent challenges, are what makes what we do so fun, and being shortlisted for a Cyber Lion at Cannes earlier this month made all the work worthwhile.

Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 4:03AM Set your Rooster to Pacifico Standard Time...
In Mexico, the omnipresent rooster runs wild, monitoring the pace of day-to-day life. This much-revered animal is a symbol of the low-stress, laidback lifestyle that encapsulates Mexico and Pacifico. With this mindset in place, there’s no need for alarm clocks, strict schedules or hectic calendars—just let nature’s alarm clock guide you through your day. Utilize the Pacifico Rooster Alarm Clock and all else will be taken care of.
With the help of Amsterdam-based Perfect Fools, our onsite Swede/webcam technician/blogger Peo (check out his blog at claudioandi.com) and our star rooster Claudio, we’ve brought nature’s alarm clock to those in less roosterrific parts of the world. Using the most advanced rooster technologies available, the entire planet now has access to their very own Mexican rooster 24/7. Put our live feed of Claudio in Mazatlan on your website, blog, desktop or iPhone, and let nature’s alarm clock ring in the Pacifico lifestyle.

Friday, April 17, 2009 at 4:35AM “…Sounds good, if you need me I’ll be tracking down the 60ft prehistoric Megalodon shark living in the Sea of Cortez”.
To keep Pacifico authentic we shy away from the cliché, tourist driven views of Mexican culture, and tap into the authentic, indigenous side. When we cast spots we find actual travelers, journeymen and locals—never actors. This process introduced us to our eventual soul mate, Ira Evan Nevius.
Ira is a California-grown ex-pat, who’s been living off the land in Mexico since the late 70s. This man is one of a kind. And the first ever “random dude”, whose life came to be sponsored by a beer company.
The meeting:
During the first Pacifico shoot 5 years back, Ira showed up at a casting call—to make a long story short—he didn’t make the cut, but became invaluable as our location scout, translator, fishmonger, song singer, and random knowledge source. Eventually his undeniable intrigue was too great to deny the world of. Everyone who met him would leave with a myriad of new stories and adventures. He needed a venue to tell his story.
The place is now called, Iralandia: Mexico Randomly assorted by Ira
Ira documents his day-to-day, which is a far cry from most folks routines. He spear-fishes, constructs milk can lanterns, makes Tahitian ceviche, swims with whales, surfs with planes, sings bonfireside, drops more knowledge than you could imagine about Palm trees, and too much more to explain. You’ll just have to see for yourself.
The Process:
Ira’s life is interesting enough on its own, but if we think of something interesting we will send out the “Ira signal”, and without thinking twice about it, he heads out on our mission.
